Quick gambling tips

Today, I thought I would share some quick gambling tips with you. These tips can be used with any gambling game(s) you enjoy. Many people are losing gamblers, because they simply play a game without any thought and hope luck comes along. Luck is what you make of it. By following some simple tips, you can get more out of your gambling experience.

Gambling Tip One: Set a limit

Money management is a key component in the arsenal of any winning gambler. Perhaps one of the worst things you can do, as a gambler, is to not play with set limits. Before gambling, you should set: (1) the maximum amount you are willing to lose, (2) the point at which you will stop gambling when ahead and (3) the general amount you will bet with each wager.

Gambling Tip Two: Educate yourself

The more you know about a game and the circumstances governing the game, the better shot you will have at both following your set plans and winning some money. If nothing else, pick up at least one book or read some good in-depth tutorials on the game before gambling. I know many gamblers here in Las Vegas that are consistent losers. The sad part is they think it’s their lack of luck when it’s really the fact that they don’t know much of anything about the operation and circumstances that govern their games of choice.

Gambling Tip Three: Don’t be scared.

If you are scared of losing money you should not gamble. If the amount you are wagering is causing you to be under pressure, you need to reduce the amount you are wagering. When gamblers wager money they are not free with, they do not win as often. By being scared, you will make poor decisions—including missing out on winning chances. I have seen this happen time and time again. Get your head on straight and wager money you can afford to lose.

These three gambling tips can be used at any game in the casino. Think about these seriously before you wager another hard earned dollar. If you are looking for more in-depth articles and information, I invite you to visit one of the websites in my Wise Bettor network.

Progressive jackpot odds and probabilities

:
Calculating odds and probabilities for classic slot machine games with 3 reels with 10 symbols on each reel is simplicity itself. You simply multiply the chances of hitting the correct symbol on each real times the chances of hitting it on the other 2 reels. The formula looks like this in fact:

1/10 X 1/10 X 1/10 = 1/1000

A brief explanation: if there are 10 possible symbols on each reel, then the chances of hitting 1 of those 10 is 1/10. The chances of hitting that same symbol on all 3 reels is the product of the chance of hitting it on each reel.

A casino makes its money by having payouts that aren't equivalent to the true odds of hitting the jackpot. In a case where you have a 1 in 1000 chance of hitting a jackpot, if you paid out 999 to 1 or 998 to 1, the difference in the payout versus the actual odds would be your resulting profit.

But progressive jackpots are sometimes tremendous. Sometimes you can even find progressive jackpots of $1 million or more. In order to accomplish this, slot machine manufacturers had to become programmers, because realistically, a mechanical slot machine was limited to 3 or 4 reels with 20 or so symbols on each reel. A mechanical slot machine's reels are actual strips of metal, and having more than 20 symbols on each of them made them too large to actually operate the machine.

But with a random number generator program, a casino can set up "virtual reels" with an unlimited number of symbols on each. They can also set up multiple reels. Since the odds of hitting the jackpot become much smaller, the amount of the jackpot can become much larger.

Here's what the odds of hitting the jackpot are on a 3 reel machine with 30 symbols, and for a 5 reel machine with 30 symbols:

1/30 X 1/30 X 1/30 = 1/27,000

1/30 X 1/30 X 1/30 X 1/30 X 1/30 = 1/810,000

If the odds of hitting the jackpot are 1 in 810,000, you could easily have a payout of $500,000 or even $600,000 and still maintain a solidly profitable slot game.

Since progressive jackpots grow constantly until someone hits the jackpot, you could theoretically make a positive expectation bet on a slot machine game, IF the jackpot were large enough. In the above example, if the jackpot were $810,001, you'd be making a positive expectation bet.

The problem is that the slot machine manufacturers don't make it that easy. They use algorithms in their random number generator software that set up a % payout, so it's unknowable to a player what the dollar amount on the jackpot must be to have a positive expectation bet.

If I only knew the settings for Cash Splash or Wow Pot, maybe I could wait until the jackpot were large enough to play, and make positive expectation bets all the time. But on the other hand, just having fun is usually positive expectation enough to suit me.

Poker strategy - the secret to success

Poker is a game of chance. It combines strategy with luck. Knowing how to play basic poker is not enough when your goal is to win. Online poker has a unique setup. As you read on, this can be the chance for you to learn about strategic tips and helpful hints researched from various wagering sites. Be the mastermind behind a cleverly won game.

Opportunities of Internet access to online poker games are available. When you get the poker itch, you no longer have to jump in the car and head to the nearest gambling room. Card games with friends can be reserved for on-line battles with people you don’t know. Your friendships can now stay honest. Even better, gone are smoke filled rooms, drunk buddies that pass out on the couch, and you have a way to keep snacks for yourself. Just plop yourself in front of your computer, turn it on, and let the games begin. In order to start, you’ll of course need internet access. Type in “online poker” and pick out a site. Research the site, register with the site, and you are now ready for action. Now is your chance to enjoy online poker - even in your underwear!

Just a quick overview: Poker is a game that requires a standard deck of cards. Cards consist of four suits: diamonds, spades, clubs, and hearts. Cards are ranked from high to low. Combination hand ranks determine who has the winning hand. The internet is a useful tool that can be used to research which hand ranks are the best. Memorize the best hand ranks and learn to recover from hands dealt that don’t seem to have a chance. The ultimate goal is to win the pot. At the click of the mouse, the help button can be your best friend when you need specifics on rules for any games that are offered.

Strategy tips from Toby Bochan’s Guide to Poker combined with helpful hints researched from various wagering sites will be discussed. These tips can help you form your own strategy for success. They are as follows:

1. Follow the old saying “choose your battles wisely”. The more hands you play does not mean you will make more money.

2. In any site, help guides should be available to discuss rules. Types of games offered and how to play them should be available. Pick the right game for your skill level and bankroll. As a serious online poker player, games require you to put in real money. The key here is: Don’t get in over your head! Remember you are playing with opponents coming from various skill levels. Don’t be the little fishy in a shark’s tank.

3. Bluffing is a common strategic move used in poker. Many do not know how to bluff. Don’t be one of those people. Bluffing is a form of intimidation. By wagering a large amount of money, you attempt to convince opponents into folding. When you are wagering a large sum of cash you are trying to show that you hold the superior hand - even if you don’t. When you are in a card room facing live people, you can judge a bluff by observing body movements and noises. After playing the game a few times you can pick up the habits of the players in front of you. In an online card-room, such observations are impossible and your judgment is impaired. Long story short: Unless you can guarantee 100% your bluff is going to work, it is better not to bluff than to bluff.

4. Online card rooms do not allow you to face other players but you can see what cards are being dealt. Pay close attention. Learn to pick out golden opportunities like flush and straight opportunities. This is where the research of combinations of hand ranks comes in.

5. Since you physically can’t move your cards, be aware of the button options your PC screen gives you to make the moves necessary to play the game effectively. Study your screen carefully. Don’t make hasty moves. Use the time allotted to you wisely. If you strike the wrong key, it can cost you the game.

6. It is not recommended to play poker under the influence of alcohol. Alcohol impairs the mind. Strategies can be harder to carry out. Online poker uses real money. Unless you are playing for low stakes, getting plastered and playing poker are three Ps that do not mix.

7. Like anything else in life, online software can come with its fair share of glitches. Internet connection delays can be detrimental when it happens in the middle of a game. When you are frozen out, your opponents are not. By the time you are back on track the game is over. Your chance of winning that game is gone. Most time the glitches are a factor of PC viruses. Make sure to protect yourself with anti-virus programs and anti-spy ware.

8. Online poker is designed for you, the player, to compete for money and have fun. Any strategy that you choose can be accommodated to your skill level. No matter what strategy you choose, play a fair game. Cheating is a bad habit and a sign of a sore loser.

Overall, as long as you have Poker basics and some strategic ideas under your belt, you have the chance to make any game a fun and entertaining experience. You stand to lose or win some money, so use common sense and go into a game with a strategic frame of mind. You have help guides, the beauty of internet search engines and rules to help you find the right game to suit you. Just use that mouse! Last but not least, if you do decide to play your fave online game of poker in your underwear, remember to close the curtains.

Dice games basics

The young and the old relish it, it governs the game with its different numbers, and it declares the winner who bags the business - ‘Dice’, the most significant element of a game. Dice is the life of each dice game but players hardly throw any attention to it. This article will be a talk about ‘dice’, its history, its types, dice games and little of their strategies.

A Delve into the Past

Numerous other things like fruits, nuts and stones etc. were used as a dice before the latter was made. The Greeks and the Romans had bones to play the dice games. The invention of dice came about around 6000 B. C. While several others believe that dice was born around 2000 B. C. Initially throwing of dice had different dimensions. People used to attach supernatural powers and other deities to the outcome of the dice. It is deemed that the Romans were the foremost users of the dice. The tradition later passed on to the French, Europeans and Chinese.

Variety of Dice

• There are different types dice that are commonly used. The Standard Dice is that which is most often made up of plastic, at times of wood, stone and glass. This dice has indentations that make it lighter on the sides and due to which the dice favors high numbers.

• The Perfect Casino Dice is handmade and involves wonderful accuracy. Almost all of these dice are transparent red and are set in a right handed format. The holes of this dice are filled with a weighted substance after drilled.

• Crooked Dice are according to their name. They are cooked up in such a manner to make the odds assist the player who is deceitful. Elements like lead, gold and platinum etc. are the added as adulterants to the dice that make it a heavy one. The extra weight of the dice cats as a preventive measure against the crooked dice.

• The dice that functions by changing weight distribution within the dice is known as the Tapping dice. Within the dice there is a mercury chamber or wire with a weight that ratchets up and down the wire. The outside of the dice can also be tampered with.

Apart from the variety of dice, there are various ways to throw dice and set the stage to throw it. Qualified players invent new ways to throw dice and make money. At times the cheats are detected while many a times he goes escapes to victory.

When the Dice Rolls

• Dice games are universal. Innumerable games have imparted an inevitable existence to dice. One of the most common dice games is the game of Chuck-a-Luck. The dice are put in an hour glass like cage. The cage is turned up and down and the dice are made to fall on the table after bets are placed on them. The number combinations establish the winner.

• The Over and Under Seven Game is a game that uses two dice. The players wager over the outcome of the dice that will it be plus seven or less than seven or seven itself. Depending upon this, there are different strategies to carry the game ahead.

• One of the games that involve usage of three dice is the Grand Hazard. The waging is based on forecasting whether the total for three dice will be 10 or less and 11 or higher.

Besides these there are several other dice games that include huge money making business.

The charisma of dice can turn millionaires to beggars and vice-a-versa. It is upon the player to manipulate the outcome or get maneuvered by it.

Internet gambling bill

In the House of Representatives, there is a bill (H. R. 4777) that was introduced by Representative Bob Goodlatte, of Virginia. The bill, entitled “Internet Gambling Prohibition Act”, was introduced to the House of Representatives on February 16, 2006 and was sent to the Committee on the Judiciary on the same day. The bill is one that, if passed, will affect all Americans who want to be able to gambling online—it will affect those promoting gambling oriented affiliate programs too.

The Path

It’s first important to point out that the path of this bill become official United States law is a long and difficult one. The bill has to go through many steps in the House first. H. R. 4777 has 129 cosponsors, which is roughly 25% of the representatives in the House. It does have a good shot at passing the House in the coming months.

If it passed in the House, it will be sent to the Senate, where it will have to undergo the same process as it did in the House. The bill will be sent to a committee, reports will be written and so forth. If not even one word is changed and no rider is attached, it will be placed up for vote. Should even one word be altered or a rider attached, it will need to repeat the cycle at the House of Representatives.

Should the bill be one of the few that survives this path, the President will have to sign it into law or veto it. If the bill does not make it all this way before the current session ends, the bill is quashed and will need to be re-introduced next session and start all over again.

The Bill

This main purpose of this bill is to make online gambling illegal and to make sure the language of the text includes the Internet and not simply “phone lines.” H. R. 4777 seeks to amend Section 1081 of Title 18 of the United States Code. Here’s a breakdown of the language updates.

1.“wire communication facility” will be replaced with “communication”.

2.“aid of wire, cable,” will have satellite and microwave added to the list.

3.“other like connection between” will have “(whether fixed or mobile)” added to the description.

4.Adding definitions for: bet or wager, gambling business, money transmitting service, money transmitting business, foreign jurisdiction, and others.

The bill will amend Section 1081 to be stronger and more complete. The whole concept is to do away with limiting terms like “wires” and replace it with an all-encompassing term like “communication facility”. That way the law remains strong no matter what inventions the future holds.

Conclusion

The bill has a long way to go to become law, but if it does, it will strengthen Section 1081. Gambling online in the United States is already technically illegal, but it’s a law that’s not really enforced. The question remains; will this improvement matter at all if the law is not being enforced anyway? Only time will tell, but the coming months should be very interesting. The United States is also battling the WTO, because of the U. S.’s stand on online gambling—it’s can’t be fully regulated and taxed by the U. S., so they don’t like it.

Compulsive gambling behaviors observable in the workplace

Compulsive gambling has been called the "hidden disease," as there are few overt signs of it in the workplace until the problem is in its most advanced stage. Astute observers may, however, pick up clues.

Extensive gambling can be time-consuming. Doing everything required to gain the information required to gamble intelligently, to place bets, follow the action, borrow money and make payments often has an impact that can be observed in the workplace. An educational pamphlet on compulsive gambling lists these indicators that may be observed at work:

Late to work (due to late night card game, casino venture, or bad night's sleep worrying about gambling-related problems).

Long lunches (off-track betting, meeting bookmaker or loan shark or creditors).

Mysterious disappearance in the afternoon (typically at the track, off-track betting, afternoon card or dice game, or listening to sporting events).

Sick days taken right when they become available rather than allowed to accumulate (uses sick days to gamble).

Vacation used in isolated days rather than blocks.

Excessive use of rest room (reads sports pages or listens to radio in the rest room).

Excessive use of the telephone (calls to off-track betting, bookie, creditors, or to find money; calls from bookie or creditors).

Reads newspaper and sports literature at work (scratch sheet from race track, racing form, sporting news, etc.).

Operates office sports pool or paycheck pool (the person running these sometimes has a gambling problem).

Collects money from other employees for off-track betting or lottery (ostensibly does this as convenience for co-workers but actually so he or she can place bets).

Organizes trips to Atlantic City, Las Vegas, or other gambling junkets (may indicate familiarity through frequent visits).

Operates as bookmaker or runner for bookmaker (many bookmakers and runners are themselves compulsive gamblers and do this in order to gamble more).

How to play omaha poker

Ohama Poker plays the second best in attracting a large amount of people in card games next to Texas Hold’em. Ohama Poker is very similar to Texas Hold’em, with the main difference being that a player can choose his or her hand out of nine cards instead of seven. This is the reason for the growing popularity of the game.

Omaha, which has the same structure as Texas Hold’em, is played very similar to Texas Hold'em; the only difference being that each player is dealt four hole cards instead of two. The players post the blinds and then receive their hole cards. After receiving the hole cards, a betting round takes place and then comes the ‘flop’, the ‘turn’ and the ‘river’ with a betting round between each of them.

The main difference between Omaha and Texas Hold'em is that each of the players has to form his hand out of precisely two hole cards and three board cards. This is different from Texas Hold'em where a player could use either one or both (or even none) of his hole cards. If a player is trying to win the low hand, he must use two unpaired hole cards that are ranked lower than eight, and three board cards, also unpaired, that are also ranked lower than eight.

In Omaha, the starting hands should be coordinated, which means that they should fit together. What you really want are cards that are more likely to form into straights, flushes or a full house. It's very rare that a pair would hold up on an Omaha table. Look for double-suited hands, giving you two chances of a flush and cards that are close together or considered in a run.

In playing the game, this is an example where many new Omaha players falter. The players, for instance, see four spades on the board, which are the community cards, and they have the Ace of Spades in their hand. They think they have the nut flush, forgetting that a player must use two hole cards, therefore needing two spades in his hand to make a flush.

Omaha is played either Pot Limit or Limit. The game is not played No Limit, as having four hole cards gives so many extra possibilities, chances, and permutations. If playing No Limit, the game would be too wild and without direction.

Sic-bo basic rules

Sic-Bo, is a simple to understand but the bets are difficult to remember. You play Sic-Bo with 3 die which are rolled by the player. The game is very similar to roulette in the manner of betting because you have to make a prediction on the outcome of the dice roll. Before you roll you make a prediction on the outcome of the die. These predictions can be a combination of different numbers on the die or a variety of other outcomes which all offer different levels of difficulty to win.

There are seven different kinds of bets that can be made in Sic-Bo which will be the next topic of the guide.

Bets:

1. Single bet - (located on the bottom left of the board) - Predict that any of the die will land on any number from 1 to 6. if one dice does land on the number you predicted you win 1:1. if 2 die land on the number you predicted you win 2:1. Finally if all 3 die land on that 1 number you win 3:1.House advantage on this bet is close to 8%.

2. Two Die Bet - (located in the center on the bottom of the board.) - Predict that any 2 of the die will land on a 2 number combination that you must choose. The third dice has no effect on the game of the other 2 land on the number you choose. You win a payoff of 6:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 17%.

3. Three of A Kind - (located on the top in the center of the board) - Predict that all 3 die will land on the same number; any number of your choice. You win a payoff of 24:1. The House advantage on this bet is close to 30%.

4. Total of Three Die Bet - (located in the center of the board going vertically as a row of number from 4-17) - Predict that the total of the three die sum up to a number from 4-17(,3,and 18 is not included because they odds win a different bet with a much higher payout). You win a payoff which varies from 6:1 all the way to 60:1. If you choose a total of 10 or 11 you have the lowest payout of

6:1 with a house edge of only 12.5%. If you choose a total of 9 or 12 the payout is 6:1 with a house edge of 18%. If you choose a total of 8 or 13 the payout is 8:1 with a house edge of 12.5%. If you choose a total of 7 or 14 the payout is 12:1 with a house edge of 9.7%. If you choose a total of 6 or 15 the payout is 17:1 with a house edge of 16.5%. If you choose a total of 5 or 16 the payout is 30:1 with a house edge of 13.2%. If you choose a total of 4 or 17 the payout is 60:1 and the house edge is 15%.

5. Small or big Bet - (located on the top on each the left and right side || 2 different bets) Predict that the total of the 3 die will total a variety of numbers. This bet has a very high chance of winning because you have about a 50/50 chance of getting the die to total the amounts that you choose. The "small" bet is when you predict that the die will total any number from 4-10. the "big" bet is when you predict that the die will total 11-17. You win a payoff of 1:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 2.7%.

6. Triple - (located on the top in the center of the board ) - Predict that all 3 die will land on a single number. The chances against you getting all 3 die to land on the number you choose is 215:1. You win a payoff of 180:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 30%.

7. pair - (located on the top of the board on split in the middle by the triple bets) Predict that 2 of the die will land on a single number that you choose. You win a payoff of 8:1. House advantage on this bet is close to 33%.

There is a little cheat so you don't have to memorize all of these. That secret is the board. I know that’s not really a secret but it is true that the board has all the information that you need to choose your bets. Despite that, you still need to know the risks involved in each bet. Sic-Bo is a very fun game with a lot of excitement and a high risk of winning.

5 tips for winning at video poker

Video Poker combines both Luck and skill. The luck part is the cards that are randomly dealt to the player. The skill part encompasses much more then simply knowing what to hold and what to fold. In this article we'll discuss some of the things every video poker player should be doing, regardless of their game play strategy.

1. Only Play At Full Pay Machines

One of the smartest things any potential video poker player can do is to check the payout schedule before he or she starts playing. The payout schedule tells you how much you'll be paid for each winning hand. In a Jacks or Better Video Poker game 9/6 is considered full pay. That simply means that 9 coins are paid out for a Full House and 6 coins are paid out for a Flush. Many casinos pay out less then 9/6, meaning that in the long run, you'll simply win less money.

2. Always Play Max Coins

A Mistake many novice players make is to play fewer coins, thinking this will keep them in the game longer. The problem with that theory is many machines will give you proportionately more coins for hitting a Royal Flush with max coins then they will for hitting with less then the max. If you're worried about going through your bankroll too quickly, play at a low coin size. Or, if you're really not sure how to play, us a play for free version of the game until you've gotten your feet wet.

3. Plan How Much You're Willing To Lose --And Stick To It.

There is a lot of luck involved in winning Video Poker. Unfortunately, too many players keep pumping coins into the machine, thinking their luck is bound to change. Successful players know that some days you have it and some you don't. Before you start playing, have a set amount that you're willing to lose, once that money is gone quit playing.

4. Take Your Time

Video poker is a game of man against machine. Always remember that there is no time limit. Make sure that you carefully review your cards, with each hand. Take as much time as you need, no one is waiting for you so don't feel pressured to make your move. Don't hit that draw button until you're ready.

5. Take advantage of the "Play for Free" Games

Novice players need experience; obviously the best way to gain experience is to play. Fortunately, many online casinos offer "Play for free" versions of some maybe even all of their video poker versions. Take advantage of these and develop your strategy before you plunk down your money.

Strategic wagering for major league baseball mlb i

As time has shown, if given the opportunity, people will bet on just about anything and at anytime! Throughout history people have found things to wager on, from cockfighting to bare knuckle fights to horse racing to baseball and much more! In the past, sportsbook betting was limited to fixed locations, with information coming by word-of-mouth, newspapers, and at the event site.

With the Internet a new wagering platform was created. The once restricted pastime evolved into worldwide wagering opportunities that you could access 24/7 on your home PC while in your PJ’s. Yee haw! With global sport betting at consumers’ fingertips, it’s no wonder that the convenience of the web has resulted in rapid growth and surging popularity in the sportsbook industry. The major sportsbook websites have numerous features, including live lines and odds, information about sports, commentaries on contests and wagering opportunities. Some even offer a daily live radio show focusing on sports and sports betting on the web!

With new electronic opportunities, new strategies developed in sports wagering. On the web, each sport’s betting event possesses preferred wagering strategies. Major League Baseball season has started and it’s a great time to review the ins and outs of Strategic Wagering for the sport.

Hey, what is Major League Baseball without betting for or against the outcome! When you have something going besides the actual game, like the bettor’s action, things get very exciting when watching the highs and lows of the contest. Just thinking about it can give you an adrenaline rush!

Although wagering on MLB has some peculiarities, overall it’s pretty straightforward. In the following sections, we will cover basic bets common to MLB. These include:

Straight or Side bets: These are the most common MLB wagers-- “betting to win or lose.”

Run lines: Most popular for MLB, a combination of Point Spread and Money Line.

Money lines: Next best for MLB, which gives odds that one team will beat another.

Over/unders (total runs): The bettor is wagering for the game to go over or under the run total.

Action points: Team against team, regardless of the starting pitchers. However, if there is a change in one or both of the starting pitchers, the bettor still has a wager, but the price will be adjusted according to the new starting pitcher.

Point spreads: Used as a margin to handicap the favorite team.

Head to head propositions: This is “betting to win” on one sports figure/team against another sports figure/team.

Note: These wagers have no built-in mathematical advantage in a sports event. Why? Sports are independent events and are not ruled by probability theory! Instead, the sportsbook acts as a broker and gains a commission only on losing bets. This commission is called vigorish, vig or juice and typically is 10% of your wager. So if you are wagering $100, you place $110 (11/10 odds). If you win you get $210; or if you lose, you lose $110 and the Sportsbook gets the $10.

Straight bets are the most common MLB wager. When you place a straight bet, you simply pick the team that will win or lose the game. All straight bets have 11/10 odds, unless otherwise noted at the time of the wager. This translates into the sportsbook making 10% vigorish (juice) on losing wagers.

OddsRiskGet Juice (lose only) Win

Straight$110$100$10$210

Straight buy Ѕ point$120$100$20$220

Straight buy 1 point$130$100$30$230

The format used for sportsbook wagering charts is displayed differently and will look more like:

Major League Baseball Run Line Money Line Game Total

HcapPricePriceOver/Under Price

Datetime905(Away Team & Pitcher)+1.5-220+104O: 9.0-120

(Home Team & Pitcher)- 1.5+180- 114U: 9.0+100

DateTime906Dodgers Valdez+1.5+115- 138O: 9.5-115

ExposHermanson - 1.5-135+128U: 9.5-105

DateTime907Athletics Loaiza +1.5-220+112O: 10.0-120

TwinsSilva - 1.5+170 -122U: 10.0+100

This typical sportsbook wagering chart is compact and shows the Run line, Money Line and Over/Under Straight Bet with the odds. This compact format will list the Away Team wager line first, then the Home Team wager line. The minus sign (e. g. -130) always indicates the favorite and the amount you must bet to win $100. The line without the minus sign (e. g. +120) always indicates the underdog and the amount you win for every $100 bet. Using this example, therefore, you would bet $130 to win $100 on the favorite, while for the underdog you would bet $100 to win $120.

Run Lines: The MLB Run Line is a combination of the Point Spread and the Money Line. The team you wager on must win by covering the Run Line spread. The amount you lay down is determined by the Money Line odds next to the Run Line spread. (Odds are primarily determined by who’s pitching). The same rules that apply for the Totals apply for the Run Lines. When wagering on the Expos Run Line, the team selected must win by at least 2 runs. When wagering on the Dodgers Run Line, the selected team can lose the game, but not by more that one run. Note: Run Lines are always “listed pitchers”.

Money Lines: When wagering on sides, if you are betting the favorite, you will be laying odds. When betting on the underdog, you will be picking the odds. The odds for each game are based on who is pitching.

Over/Under: Waging on the total runs scored on the game (both teams combined, overtime included). If you wager on the Dodgers/Exposes game to go OVER the predicted total, the amount of the runs on the game must be more than 10 in order to win the wager. If you wager on the Dodgers/Expos game to go UNDER the predicted total, the amount of runs on the game must not exceed 9 in order to win the wager. The game must go 9 innings (8.5 if the home team is ahead) to have action.
